BASF announced membership in Systems That Learn
在北美先进材料研究中心举行的成立五周年庆典上,巴斯夫宣布将加入麻省理工学院计算机科学与人工智能实验室的STL研究项目。
At a conference marking the five-year anniversary of the North American Center for Research on Advanced Materials (NORA) , BASF announced its membership in Systems That Learn (STL), a research initiative that is part of the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL).
STL 旨在加快基于机器学习和人工智能的大型软件系统的开发、部署和演变。
STL aims to accelerate the development, deployment and evolution of large-scale software systems that incorporate machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI).
加入STL将使巴斯夫接触到人工智能、机器学习和数据分析等领域的尖端科研成果和新工具,并与CSAIL研究人员保持密切互动。
Membership will provide BASF access to cutting-edge research in AI, machine learning and data analytics, early access to new tools and close interaction with CSAIL researchers.
巴斯夫生物科学研究和北美研究代表Peter Eckes表示,“展望未来五年,了解和控制材料在不同长度时的结构仍将是我们关注的一大重点以及跨学科研究课题之一,它们将在化学催化创新应用、生物系统材料以及探索先进材料和新材料(如超材料)的物理作用等领域发挥关键作用。”
“As we look to the next five years, understanding and controlling structures of materials at all length scales will remain a focus area and an interdisciplinary effort at NORA, considering novel applications in chemical catalysis, materials for biological systems or exploring physical interactions in advanced and totally new materials, such as metamaterials,” said Peter Eckes, President of Bioscience Research and North America Research Representative at BASF.

2017 BMW China Culture Journey Festival opened for free for public in Beijing from Nov. 10 to Nov.12.

BMW China Culture Journey has consistently supported the inheritance and safeguarding of Chinese traditional culture for 11 years.

To help integrate intangible cultural heritage into modern life, BMW China Culture Journey continues to explore innovative models of intangible cultural heritage safeguarding, which is achieved in two approaches: innovative communication to promote intangible cultural heritage and innovative methods to promote the use and consumption of intangible cultural heritage works.

特纳体育和英特尔日前宣布签署一项合作协议,利用英特尔 True VR技术、以虚拟现实方式直播NBA比赛。
Turner Sports and Intel announced a multiyear partnership to make live NBA game action available in virtual reality using Intel True VR technology.
英特尔将成为NBA on TNT的虚拟现实独家提供商,并从2018年在洛杉矶举办的NBA全明星赛开始,为重大比赛提供直播内容。
Intel will become the Exclusive Provider of Virtual Reality for the NBA on TNT and deliver live content for marquee matchups beginning with NBA All-Star 2018 in Los Angeles.
此外,英特尔还与NBA合作成为授权提供商,利用英特尔FreeD技术为全球NBA官方广播电视合作伙伴提供虚拟现实和360度回放视频。
Additionally, Intel is partnering with the NBA to become an authorized provider of virtual reality and 360-degree volumetric video with Intel FreeD technology for official NBA broadcast partners globally.

阿布扎比卢浮宫日前正式对外开放,期间数百名来自世界各地的参观者参加了阿布扎比卢浮宫的开业庆典,并目睹了阿提哈德航空旗舰机型A380低空飞越此座博物馆的壮观场面。
Hundreds of visitors from around the world, attending the official public opening celebrations of the Louvre Abu Dhabi, were treated to a low-level fly-by of the museum by one of Etihad Airways’ flagship Airbus A380 aircraft.
专为本次表演挑选的此架飞机身着阿提哈德航空“阿布扎比缩影”新涂装,同时四台发动机还搭载着阿布扎比卢浮宫官方标志,为这座博物馆的盛大开业宣传造势。
Sporting the airline’s ‘Facets of Abu Dhabi’ livery, the aircraft chosen for the display now also features Louvre Abu Dhabi’s official logo on each of its four engines, to promote the opening of the institution.
